Chicha is fermented corn beer from the Andes and is also a name given to a hibrid of music which involves mixing salsa, cumbia, huayno with the new tropical rhythms.Grupo Belem de Tarma directed by Hector Acuna is the founder of this genre of Music in Peru. basically it is a combination of Cumbia with Peruvian rhythms totally mixed up to give a taste of the Andes together with tropics.
